I’m sorry that I missed your panel. I ultimately chose Paul Moore’s panel on ‘Constituting the Listening Audience’ during that timeslot. It is a testament to the strength of the conference that there were tough choices to be made all over the schedule. I will try to remember to roll by TV 2.0 to check out that paper.

I left on Thursday morning (a week in Fredericton was as much time as I could manage) and was very sorry to miss Charlotte Brunsdon, whose work I have always admired. Too bad you missed our panel on the first day: Translation, Transposition and the Intersections between Culture and Cultural Commodities. My colleague Mark McCutcheon had to cancel at the last minute, unfortunately, so we didn’t get to hear him talk about the DJ as critic. Between Dann Downes, June Madeley and myself, we covered copyright across the cultural industries, manga production/scanlation reception and transmedia storytelling /reception respectively.

I hope to post a version of my paper, Transmedia Reception and True Blood: Patterns of Consumption and Fannish (Dis)Pleasures, on my website soon.

Rhiannon
