I wonder what you think about HBO’s decision to market Veep by making the pilot available on iTunes? I have seen this with a few other shows, but HBO is notoriously shy of distributing programs on iTunes until after a season has ended, usually at the same time as the DVD release. I think it says something about who they are targeting with this more political, or relevant programming, but I am not sure exactly what it says about this target audience. I loved Veep, although there does seem to be some Seinfeld-esque focus on, as you note, the more everyday trivial matters of being Vice President. And extensive use of the word fuck.
