Update: earlier today, Trion Worlds announced that Defiance will officially ship without any subscription requirements on both PC and on XBox 360 and PS3, which moves away from the traditional business model of MMOs. It’s not yet clear how any further content will be distributed within this model, and what costs might be associated with that downloadable content.
